Special Olympics Ohio invites you to take part in the Inaugural LETR Solar Plunge! This event is a unique opportunity for individuals, businesses and organizations to support more than 20,000 Special Olympics Ohio athletes. All money raised during the Solar Plunge will go toward providing year-round sports training and competition, health and inclusion programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities in your community.
The Solar Plunge will be just like the Annual Plunge My Way campaign. You'll make an initial gift of $20, earn your LETR water bottle, and create your personal fundraising page to start raising funds and reach your goal. Grab some friends, family, or coworkers and take your plunge however you'd like - sprinkler, slip-n-slide, pool - the possibilities are endless!
Fundraising
Remember that people give to people, not causes. Your passion and enthusiasm for the Solar Plunge and Special Olympics Ohio will be all you need to motivate your friends and family to donate. To help on your journey, we have provided you with a Fundraising Tool Kit.
This event will be a profit share with local programs (90/10). To qualify, your program must register and actively fundraise. In addition, we encourage you to team up with your local law enforcement department for your plunge!
