As a Director of Special Education, former Intervention Specialist, and Recreational Therapist, my heart has always been rooted in creating opportunities for individuals with disabilities to shine, connect, and be celebrated. Special Olympics has been a home for that mission—an organization where inclusion isn’t just a value, it’s lived out with joy, courage, and community.

This year’s Polar Plunge is extra meaningful because it’s happening right here in our own backyard at The Fortress. I’m thrilled for the chance to bring together our athletes, participants, Hamilton Local Schools’ students and staff, and the entire community for something bigger than all of us. Supporting Special Olympics Ohio feels like an extension of the work I do every day—lifting up individuals, creating belonging, and celebrating every victory, big or small.
