Last year was my very first Polar Plunge with the Columbus Wizards, and let me tell you, it was cold! I definitely wasnt ready for just how freezing that water would be! The second I hit the water, I knew exactly why we were doing it. That feeling of purpose and pride made every shiver worth it.

This year, I am beyond excited to be Freezin for a Reason again while supporting Special Olympics Ohio, a cause that means the world to me and my family. I am m taking the plunge in honor of my daughter, Kennedy, who is autistic, along with all of her classmates, and my brother, Thomas, who played Special Olympics basketball at Centennial High School. Watching Kennedy continue to grow and shine reminds me every day why inclusion matters so much.

Over the past year, our Wizards family has also built a great friendship with the Pickerington Jaguars Special Olympics team, and they have truly become part of our extended family. Their energy, heart, and love for the game inspire us in every way.

The Columbus Wizards and I are extremely proud to be partnered with Special Olympics Ohio and to stand behind this incredible initiative. Every donation helps provide life-changing opportunities for athletes across the state, athletes like Kennedy, Thomas, and the Jaguars; who remind us all what it means to persevere and celebrate every victory.

I am proud to take the plunge once again freezing for a reason, and doing it for something that truly matters.
